Question: How does Find Us work ?
Answer:
Find Us is a GPS Tracking and paging alarm tool.
Find Us works by sending it text messages commands from any other phone.
Find Us can tell you where it is by texting you its Latitude and Longitude.
Find us can phone you if it detects the alarm it is connected to has been triggered.
Question: What phone or PDA do i need to run Find us ?
Answer:
Find Us can be installed in any phone running Windows Mobile 6 or above, with an internal
or external GPS receiver.
Question: Where can i get a cheap GPS phone from ?
Answer:
Ebay is a good source for used Phones. Ebay is also a great place to buy new phones.
Question: Do i need two GPS phones to use Find Us ?
Answer:
No you don't. Find Us only needs to be installed on one phone that has an internal or external
GPS receiver. You can use any other phone to text the phone that is running Find Us and get
it's location information.
Question: I've downloaded Find Us Trial. How do i test it's tracking capabilities ?
Answer:
Install and start the Find Us application on your chosen phone. We will call this phone the
'remote device'. Place the remote device on the back seat of your friends car and ask them to
drive somewhere your not familiar with.
When your friend has reached their secret destination use any other phone to send the location
command to the remote device.
The remote device will text you its exact GPS location (latitude & longitude).
Place this latitude & longitude information into your Sat Nav and let your Sat Nav safely guide you
to the location. Or place the latitude & longitude information into Google Maps and get the exact
address. Google Maps is a free program that is available for your desktop or mobile device.
Question: If i connect a phone that is running Find Us to my house or car alarm, what will it do ?
Answer:
Find Us will ring you if your car or house alarm is triggered. If your in a busy noisy place set your
phone to vibrate. Your phone will vibrate in your pocket when Find Us calls you.
