The Commands

LOCATION

E.g.
4321 location

The LOCATION command is the most important off all the commands. This command switches on the GPS receiver, reads the
current location co-ordinates and texts those co-ordinates back to you.

The GPS co-ordinates information can be text to you in three different formats or all formats can be text to you. By default the
co-ordinates will be text to you in all three formats.

To change the GPS co-ordinates format, place one of the four format commands after the LOCATION command. See the
examples below.

4321 location dd

The above command will text you the
co-ordinates in decimal degrees.

4321 location dm

The above command will text you the
co-ordinates in degree minutes.

4321 location dms

The above command will text you the
co-ordinates in degrees minutes seconds.

4321 location all

The above command will text you the
co-ordinates in all the formats. This is the default.

NOTE

Find Us will remember the last format command sent, so for example if you sent '4321 location dd' all co-ordinates text to you
after this would be in the decimal degrees format. You wouldn't need to place 'dd' after further location commands.

The format commands can be placed after any command to specify the required format.

If the GPS signal has been lost and you need to know the last known location before the signal was lost, send the 'location last'
command.

E.g.
4321 location last

After receiving the above command, Find Us will text you the last Known location before it lost the GPS signal.

The GPS signal can be lost when the GPS device enters a building.

Conserving battery power

After Find Us has text you its GPS co-ordinates, it will keep the GPS receiver switched on in preparation for further commands.
Its up to you to send the OFF command when you have finished your session with Find Us.

GPS auto switch off

If the OFF command is sent with the LOCATION command, Find Us will automatically switch off the GPS receiver after it has
text you its location.

E.g.
4321 location off

This command '4321 location off dm' will request GPS co-ordinates information in degrees minutes and cause Find Us to switch
off the GPS receiver after it has text you its co-ordinates.

OFF

E.g.
4321 off

When the OFF command is received, Find Us will switch off the GPS receiver. If the IFSTOP, IFMOVE or IFSPEED
commands are active they will be deactivated.

NOTE -  the OFF command does not close down the Find Us application. No commands sent to Find Us can close it down.
This is a necessary security feature.

IFMOVE

E.g.
4321 ifmove 4

The IFMOVE command is used to determine if Find Us has moved from the specified boundary. The specified boundary is
determined by the number immediately following the IFMOVE command.

If Find Us has moved out of the specified boundary for more than 5 seconds, you will be sent a text.

The number following the IFMOVE command represents movement in latitude 'seconds' & longitude 'seconds'.

E.g. 1

The IFMOVE command has been sent with a value of 2 (
4321 ifmove 2 )

If the latitude or longitude of Find Us changes by 2 (geographical seconds) and this change is sustained for more than 5
seconds in time, you will be sent a text.

E.g. 2

The IFMOVE command has been sent with a value of 70 (
4321 ifmove 70 )

If the latitude or longitude of Find Us changes by (1 geographical minute & 10 geographical seconds) and this change is
sustained for more than 5 seconds in time, you will be sent a text.

Note

The accuracy of the IFMOVE command depends on the accuracy of the GPS receiver and the strength of the GPS signal. Some
GPS receivers tend to drift by a few seconds even though there has been no movement. If the IFMOVE value is set to a low
value (e.g. 1 to 4) false alarms could occur.

The boundary test utility can help you to determine the accuracy of the GPS receiver at any given location.

IFSPEED

E.g.
4321 ifspeed 50

The IFSPEED command is used to determine when the stated speed has been exceeded for 10 seconds or more. The stated
speed is the number immediately following IFSPEED command. This value is the speed in kilometres per hour (Km/h).

When the IFSPEED command is received, Find Us will text you when it detects it has exceeded the stated speed for 10 seconds
or more.

IFSTOP

E.g.
4321 ifstop

The IFSTOP command is used to determine when there has been no change in GPS position for more than 3 minutes.

When the IFSTOP command is received, Find Us will text u when it detects that it has been stationary for more than 3 minutes.

STATUS

E.g.
4321 status

When the STATUS command is received Find Us will text u detailed information about its current status. It will tell you -

- If the GPS is switched on or off
- co-ordinate format
- The phone number of the last client
- The command the last client sent
- If any commands are active
- If the alarm is active

PHONE

E.g.
4321 phone

When Find Us receives the PHONE command it will immediately make a phone call to the client that sent the command. The
call will be ended when the client ends the call.

This command is used to listen in on the environment where the remote device is placed.

The speaker phone on the remote device can be switched on by sending the command below.

E.g.
4321 phone speak

This command allows the user of the client device to initiate hands free communication with the user of the remote device.

ALARMON

E.g.
4321 alarmon

NOTE

The ALARMON & ALARMOFF commands can only be used by the client who's phone number is the same as the
'alarm call number'.

When Find Us receives the ALARMON command it will immediately check if there is an external voltage supply connected to
the phone. If there is, Find Us will arm the alarm.

If there is no external voltage supply connected, the alarm will not be armed and Find Us will send you a text warning you that
the alarm circuit is open.

If the alarm is armed and the external voltage supply is removed for more than 1 second, Find Us will phone the 'alarm call
number', if the call is answered Find Us will end the call 17 seconds after the call was answered.

Within this 17 seconds period the client can listen in on the environment where the remote device is placed.

Find Us will call the 'alarm call number' once every minute for 10 minutes or until the ALARMOFF command is sent. If the
10 minute period is reached the alarm will be rearmed.

If the call made by Find Us is answered by an answering machine, Find Us will still end the call 17 seconds after the call was
answered and call again one minute later. This will continue for 10 minutes or until the ALARMOFF command is received.
If the 10 minute period is reached the alarm will be rearmed.

ALARMOFF

E.g.
4321 alarmoff

When Find Us receives the ALARMOFF command it will immediately disarm the alarm. To rearmed the alarm send the
ALARMON command.

Changing the alarm call phone number.

Start the Find Us application, press
MENU, press ALARM CALL. Enter a phone number into the text area, then press
ENTER NUMBER.

BATT

E.g.
4321 batt

When Find Us receives the BATT command it will send a text containing information about the battery power level.

NOTE

Find Us will always send a text message warning to the last client when it detects that the battery power level is low or Very low.
